Alan Alda was so excited about winning an Emmy for writing in 1979 (pictured above) that he did a cartwheel down the aisle en route to the podium — and landed in Emmy’s pantheon in the process. This wasn’t his first victory. He’d been hailed as best comedy actor in 1974 and earned a statuette in 1977 for directing the M*A*S*H episode ”Dear Sigmund” (which also earned him a writing nom). Alda’s scripting success for the episode ”Inga” made him the only person in Emmy history to win for acting, directing, and writing.

HARRY POTTER HISTORY MEME → two historical events [2/2] » The Tournament that Nobody Remembers

"The 1877 Quidditch World Cup, dubbed the Tournament that Nobody Remembers, was one of the more notorious of controversies surrounding the Quidditch World Cup. A tournament was arranged for 1877, with a venue chosen, tickets sold and merchandise produced, but nobody, player or supporter, could remember having attended any matches."

  • i find it pretty fucking inconsiderate that my grandchildren haven’t used time travel to visit me.
  • and frankly, i’m a bit offended.
  • AM I NOT GOOD ENOUGH FOR YOU GRANDCHILDREN?
  • WELL FUCK YOU
  • MAYBE I WON’T EVEN HAVE KIDS AND YOU WON’T EXIST
  • HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT THAT

what if we have tho

what if we just didn’t know they were our grandkids

what if your best friend has to constantly remind themselves not to call you grandma/grandpa
